Limericks

poetry about society limericks
Written by Arunima

When you want to write something, but are too lazy to write/type so many words, limericks are the best solution. So here’s lazy me on lazy Friday, with a couple of limericks written sometime back.

“There is a kid with a long, long nose,
Big ears, a God with elephant toes.
He rides a tiny mouse,
Into the house,
And happiness every year bestows.”

–Written in praise of the cute Indian Lord Ganesha.

“There was once a lady in the capital,
She was walking down a lonely hill,
But didn’t she know,
Her dress was cut too low.
To be wearing something like that in God’s own hell!”

— The plight of an Indian woman in the capital of the country.
