Celebrate Diwali In A Special Way – My Box Of Festivals

My Box Of Festivals Diwali
Written by Team Tell-A-Tale

It’s festival time, and while the Coronasura might have been wreaking havoc in our lives, it has not been able to dampen the spirit of festivities that this time of the year always brings. The sweets, the new clothes, the diyas, the bright lights, the artis and the colourful rangolis – India is set to welcome one of its most important festivals – Diwali – with a bang (albeit without the firecrackers). And a young startup – My Box Of Festivals – is here to make this Diwali all the more fun for you and your family.

My Box Of Festivals (MBOF) started out of the need of a mother to do something personal and innovative for her kids. Read MBOF’s complete journey here. The box combines fun and easy games, interesting festival recipes and a book with the complete story of Ramayana, amidst many other things. The Founder, Alika Vyas, worked with 2013 National Award winning artist, Mr. Devendra Kumar Jha to provide a Ramayana beautifully illustrated in the Madhubani style of folk art. The book is an excellent way of introducing your child to this style of Indian art from Mithila, Bihar. The story has been retold by author Harini Srinivasan.

Amidst the pandemic and the polluted air in India, My Box Of Festival brings a fresh way of celebrating the festival we love so much. Stay indoors, stay safe and have fun unboxing this box of fun activities, recipes and much more.
