April Writing Challenge : Hope

Tell-A-Tale is conducting a monthly writing challenge – The April Writing Challenge. It’s a writing challenge in which you can unfurl your capability of writing stories and share it with the world. More details below. The contest is free to enter.

Writing Prompt for April: HOPE

Hope quotes

Hope is what makes us get up from bed every morning, and makes us go back to sleep every night. Hope is what makes the birds fly in the sky.

And hope is what keeps the world moving forward in times of the greatest adversities. 

So in this month that brings warm sunshine and blossoming flowers, let’s write about HOPE.

 

Rules Of The Contest:

  • Stories can be submitted in English only.
  • The entry should be between 500-1500 words long. Entries shorter than 500 words will be rejected.
  • If any explicit content is found in your composition, the composition will be rejected.
  • The contest starts on 1st April, 2020 and remains open till 30th April, 2020. Entries sent after 30 will not be entertained.
  • Only original stories written for the contest will be chosen. Any copied story will be eliminated.
  • Up to 2 entries per participant is allowed.
  • Rules for the contest may change in future. While we may notify you the changes, it is your responsibility to keep yourself updated with the latest change in rules by visiting this page from time-to-time. Tell-A-Tale retains right to reject stories if they are not consistent with the above rules.
  • The story will be evaluated on the originality of concept, language and narration. The decision made by Tell-a-Tale.com and its management shall be considered final and binding for all.

How To Participate?

  • Write a short story as per the rules mentioned above.
  • Attach your story as a Word Document (.docx file) and send the through e-mail to editor@tell-a-tale.com. Subject of the e-mail should be “Tell-A-Tale: April Writing Challenge”. If you are not a registered writer with Tell-A-Tale, please send a short bio in less than 100 words, along with a medium res picture.
  • Shortlisted entries will be published on Tell-A-Tale by 15th May,2020.
