Just I [Poem]

I alphabet

I – the most complete alphabet in the English language. The best thing in the world is the ability to be just I. Writer Slesha beautifully links the two together to express what it takes, and what it means to be ‘Just ‘I’.

Easy to say, Simple to be known,

Proud in all,

It’s me – I.

I am not just a word for you, I am crown to you or,

I can say you have crowned me.

Each and every word you utter in a day,

I appears as many times you say.

You have made me realize that I am not just an ‘I’ .

I am more important than yours, my, we, they, them.

I am not being proud, but I am humbled ,

That you need me every time, as in you are alone.

I came to you just as an alphabet,

But you made me express your love and hate, pain and strain.

If all this made you lose your near and dear,

How I can be held for that?.

But then what? When I faint alone, in a dark way,

I need somebody who can make me rise,

But then I realized I am Just ‘I’.
