Ode to Odus [POEM]

Candy-Crush saga odus
Written by Kiran Jhamb

He comes in  a flurry

Without any hurry

Sits on his swing.

His eyes round

Look with wonder around,

Assured everything is all right

Closes his eyes

Enjoy with small sighs

His owlish dreams.

I forget the moves

And watch his antics.

His life hinges

On balancing between two tinges

Green, red, lilac, orange and blue

The sea-saw startles him

Nervously opens his eyes as he slips

Accusing –  funny humans you!

Stamping his feet

The color of choice he wants.

Waits and watches

With his balance restored

He gently strikes his wings

To wash his hands of humans

And goes back to his wise dreams.

He dances with joy as you win

Hops spreading his wings,

His small red tongue lolls

Makes you laugh, looks so droll.

But out it protrudes

As if he has been hanged

If you are unwise to lose,

Poor Odus folds his wings

Drops from the swing

Minus his glory

And makes you feel sorry.

Footnote: Odus is the mascot of the Dreamworld in the popular color matching game Candy Crush Saga. Odus sits balanced on a moon-scale. His appearance changes as per the state of the game.
